Pre-Treatment Guidelines

2–4 Weeks Before
  • Avoid waxing, plucking, threading, or depilatory creams in the treatment area.
  • Shaving is the only recommended hair removal method.
  • Minimize sun exposure and avoid tanning, including self-tanner.
1–2 Weeks Before
  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure and always use SPF on exposed areas.
  • Stop using photosensitizing skincare products, such as retinoids or strong acids, if advised by your provider.
24–48 Hours Before
  • Shave the treatment area thoroughly, unless instructed otherwise.
  • Arrive with clean skin — no lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup.
  • Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine, as they may increase sensitivity.
On the Day of Treatment
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing to avoid friction.
  • Inform your provider of any medications, skin conditions, or health changes.
