Laser Hair Removal
Pre-Treatment Guidelines
Please review these important preparation instructions before booking your laser hair removal service.
Important: Because sauna and steam should be avoided for
24–48 hours prior to treatment, access to the sauna and steam rooms is not included with this service.
2–4 Weeks Before
- Avoid waxing, plucking, threading, or depilatory creams in the treatment area. Shaving is the only recommended hair removal method.
- Minimize sun exposure and avoid tanning, including self-tanner, as tanned skin increases the risk of irritation or pigment changes.
1–2 Weeks Before
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure and always use SPF on exposed areas.
- Stop using photosensitizing skincare products, such as retinoids or strong acids, if advised by your provider.
24–48 Hours Before
- Shave the treatment area thoroughly, unless your provider instructs otherwise.
- Arrive with clean skin — no lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup on the area being treated.
- Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine, as they may increase skin sensitivity.
On the Day of Treatment
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing to avoid friction on treated areas.
- Inform your provider of any medications, skin conditions, or recent changes in your health.
