Unlike the Turkish Hammam, which is known for its moderate heat and drier air, the Roman Steam Room operates at higher temperatures (50-70°C) with 100% humidity. This combination provides deep warmth and intense hydration, delivering a range of health benefits.

In ancient times, Roman sweat rooms were heated by steaming water in large kettles, with the vapor rising through small floor openings to create a luxurious, wet heat. Hydration is key!
Drink plenty of herbal or fruit teas (warm or hot) to replenish electrolytes. Avoid caffeine-based drinks like tea and coffee, as they can raise blood pressure. If you’re prone to colds, it’s best to skip icy beverages.
